Time's a-changin'

The times sure have changed. In today's world, we want things instantly - none of this waiting nonsense! Technology has always existed to help us conserve time and energy, going directly back to the invention of the wheel. Nowadays, we want everything to be faster, stronger, and smarter. Businesses acquiesce, and the technological market evolves. But still, we want more.

The latest advancement in technology has been smart phones that are able to access the internet via the 3G network. We can now check our e-mails while waiting in line for food. We can now verify movie showing times while we eat. We can read movie reviews while driving over the theater. However, that's not enough. We want even more - we want to be able to access the internet while we talk on our smart phones.

After a few years of clamoring, technology companies us 4G, which fulfilled the customers wants. We will still want more. The next “big” technological breakthrough will continue coming every few months. The point is, we will continue to evolve our technology, and as a result evolve the way we share information. The market structure has change significantly over the past decade.
Nowadays, we can collect even more information based on where people go with their smart phones, and be able to use that information. Knowing which restaurants that people eat at, which products they're searching for, what websites are receiving the most traffic can give the knowledgeable marketer an advantage over the ignorant one. In our field, information is the currency. As the marketing field evolves, so must you.
