What Am I Going To Eat Today?

What question has existed since life began? Think about it for a moment. This question is asked every single day, by every single organism on this planet. Your dog asks it. The ants in your kitchen ask it. The opossum that raids your trashcans asks it. The millionaire hedge fund manager asks it. The homeless man sitting at the freeway entrance asks it. “What am I going to eat today?”

It is such a basic question, and yet a question that each of us needs to answer essentially every day. And what a trial it is to answer that question, if you're as indecisive as I am. The gift and curse of choice that our capitalistic society provides us with forces us to render a decision. We have to decide whether we're going to have a hamburger or a steak. We have to decide whether we're going to purchase that economical sedan, or that speedy roadster. We have to decide.

The reason that we, as a society, are indecisive is because we don't have enough information. I don't know exactly how my food will taste when I sink my teeth into it. It could taste like a slice of heaven, it could also taste rather foul. I don't know how well my new car purchase will fare driving up a snowy mountain. It could stick to the road like glue, or it it could slip out and hit a rail. The easiest way to do that is to actually use the product, although that is not feasible all of the time. To get more information, its easy to ask your family, friends, and business connections what they think about a certain product. Websites such as Yelp sure come in handy when I am looking for a new restaurant to try. Find out what people are saying about Carney Direct Marketing. Heck, I was impressed, and I work here.
